Club Heads Come Off!, June 26, 2011 By RobMar (RIDGEFIELD, CT, US) - See all my reviews This review is from: Nike SQ Machspeed 8-Piece Men's Iron Set (4-AW, 2011 Model) (Sports) The day I picked up my new Nike clubs at Clubworks in Bethel CT I began to have problems with them. The club head on my 4 iron flew off the shaft on my third swing while trying them at the Clubworks golf range. Clubworks found the club head after two days of searching for it and repaired the 4 iron. I played my eleventh game with these clubs this past Sunday. On the 9th hole the club head flew off the shaft on my 5 iron. The quality of these clubs are terrible!
I wrote to Mr. Athanasakos of Nike to make him aware of the problem I had with my 4 iron. My letter was not responded to. After the problem I had with my 5 iron I tried to return my clubs to Clubworks for a refund. They would not accept them even though there is a clear defect with these clubs. The best Clubworks said they would do is send them to Nike for repair.
Nike makes nice commercials but incredibly poor products. I advise you to stay away from Clubworks in Bethel CT too .... they do not stand... Read more

We each bought cheap Wal-mart sets to begin with. He started getting a lot better, and Amazon had these irons as the deal of the day, so I couldn't pass up surprising him with them. We saved several hundred dollars and he loves them. You can definitely feel the difference between these and the cheaper sets. Now we just have to replace his cheap woods, and hope Amazon puts a women's set on sale soon!

I had the pleasure of using a friends set for a round as my cheapo Wilson's were just not working out. These have been going for no less than $399, but saw the price of $259 and immediately purchased.
Received a couple of days later and cannot be happier. Great clubs and Great price. Highly recommend.
